Choc Hazelnut Bites

This Nutella-esque treat is a classic energy booster that tastes far more devilish than it is. One’s never enough, but you can enjoy the whole batch guilt-free as there is no refined sugar in sight.

Ingredients
3/4 cup of dates (pitted and soaked)
1/2 cup of hazelnuts
2 tbsps of cocoa (plus extra for dusting)

Method
Step 1: Discard date-soaking water
Step 2: Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz together until it forms a doughy texture
Step 3: Shape mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and roll in extra cocoa


Avocado Sushi Rolls

Upgrade your lunchbox or afternoon tea game with this dairy-free, meat-free, nutrient-dense answer to savoury snacking. Did you know avocados contain almost 20 vitamins and minerals, including ones that support bone health?

Ingredients
1/4 cup of cooked sushi rice
1 large avocado
2 nori (edible seaweed) sheets

Method
Step 1: Place nori sheets with the shiny side facing down on a bamboo sushi mat, then scoop on a loosely packed 1/4 cup of rice
Step 2: Slice and add avocado
Step 3: Roll sheet away from you, pressing firmly to keep the shape of the sushi, and slice into bitesize pieces

Apple Almond Stacks

The humble apple gets an overhaul in this tasty, protein-rich snack perfect for roadtrips or a mid-morning nibble.

Ingredients
1 large apple 
3 tbsps of almond butter
2/3 cup of sultanas 

Method
Step 1: Core and slice apple into thin rounds 
Step 2: Spread almond butter and scatter over sultanas 
Step 3: Top one round with another, press together, and then continue stacking
