Who We Are

QIC was established on 1 July 1991, under the provisions of the Queensland Investment Corporation Act, to provide superior wholesale funds management for its public clients and other approved organisations. QIC is a Queensland Government-owned statutory authority, which operates as a commercial enterprise and generates a return to the State Government. As permitted by its governing Act, QIC also has subsidiary companies and trusts, which are used to carry out certain activities, many related to our property investments.
QIC and its subsidiaries invest in major commercial and retail properties, owning and managing some of Australia’s most successful shopping centres.

Collection Of Your Personal Information

We limit our collection of personal information to those details we identify as necessary for the lawful purposes of conducting our business and information is only collected by lawful and fair means, and in an unobtrusive way. QIC protects personal information with appropriate safeguards and security measures. Personal information is only retained for as long as it is necessary for the identified purposes. We will also take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure in accordance with the requirements of our privacy policy and the Privacy Act.

Requests For Access To And Correction Of Your Personal Information

We will give an individual access to the personal information we hold about them unless the request is frivolous, vexatious or there are other lawful reasons to restrict such access under the National Privacy Principles. We will not deny you access to any personal information following an access request without providing you with a reason for the denial.
You may request details of the personal information we hold about you by writing to or contacting us. No fee will be charged for making the request. We take reasonable steps to keep personal information as accurate, complete and up to date as is necessary for the purposes we have identified.
